Hovid Berhad is a Malaysia-based company engaged in the manufacture of pharmaceutical and herbal products. The Company operates in two segments: pharmaceutical, which is engaged in the manufacture and sale of pharmaceutical products, and phytonutrient, which is engaged in the extraction and processing of nutrients from palm oil for the purpose of manufacturing and producing of pharmaceutical, phytonutrient and oleochemicals/biodiesel products. It has in its portfolio over 300 different kinds of pharmaceutical products, supplements, as well as tocotreienols and herbal tea. During the fiscal year ended June 30, 2010, the Company had 19 subsidiaries. On June 1, 2010, the Company completed the acquisition of 51% equity interest in Biodeal Pharmaceuticals Private Limited.
